1. Independence Day at LNH 2010
Pakistan Independence Day also known as Yom-e-Istiqlal is observed on 14 August, the day before Pakistan was made an independent country based on border lines created by the British during the end of their rule of India. Pakistan became an independent country in 1947. The day is celebrated all over the country with flag raising ceremonies offering homage to the national heroes.

To pay tribute to our independence, Students of Medical College, School of Physiotherapy & College of Nursing, LNH organized the flag hoisting ceremony and various activities at convention centre, LNH. The activities included a documentary on history of Pakistan, theatrical performance by the students to highlight the issues faced by Pakistan and a heart touching national song.

Dr. Salman Faridi, Medical Director LNH concluded the occasion and emphasized that the Independence Day be celebrated with simplicity as a show of moral support to those affected by the 2010 Pakistan floods.
