Department of Rheumatology
INTRODUCTION

Bone & Joint diseases are very much prevalent in our society. Most common rheumatic diseases are characterized by chronic pain and progressive physical impairment of joint and soft tissues. They are costly to individuals, families; and society in both economic and social terms. Clinicians and other care providers must understand individual and family expenses and social consequence of the rheumatic disease so that they may
be able to respond to these challenges.

The division of Rheumatology at Liaquat National Hospital is an established clinical and academic center which concentrates clinically on providing care to patients affected by a variety of common and uncommon rheumatic disorders. Each person in the department embraces two values that guide our action and work.
- A relentless pursuit of excellence in everything we do
- Caring about patients, their safety and compliance
