A nineteen member University of Karachi Inspection Team consisting Professors with the various specialties of Medicine and Surgery visited LNMC under the Chairmanship of Professor Sohail Barkati of Affiliated Committee.

Members of the Team were given a briefing by the Principal of the College and then each member visited his/her department as well as the LNMC Library and Laboratories to inspect the available facilities.

According to a notification of the University of Karachi dated 23 September, 2006 the Vice Chancellor has approved the inspection report and the University of Karachi has given affiliation to LNMC for its MBBS degree program for 100 students. The affiliation was renewed after a second inspection on 16 November, 2007.

The Federal Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan, vide its notification dated 13 August 2007, has in consultation with PM&DC approved LNMC and allowed it to impart training to 100 students each year for MBBS degree to be awarded by the University of Karachi.

Vide there Letter no: PF 12-F-2008 (LNMC) / 83041 dt: 01-03-2008, the PMDC fully approved the standard and arrangements made by LNMC for the 1st professional MBBS part “A” Examination held in December 2007.

Vide their subsequent letter no:PF 12-F-2008 (LNMC)/118524 dt: 27-03-2009, the PM&DC has now given recognition to 5 years MBBS program of the LNMC.
