Karachi, 13 February, 2011 The Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) organized a Free Medical Camp at ICMAP Head Office, Gulshan-e-Iqbal from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm in which Liaquat National Hospital actively participated.
The objective of the medical camp was to provide health awareness to professionals and general public. LNH facilitated the ICMAP by providing facilities of free medical checkup and diet counseling.
The Department of Diabetes & Endocrinology, Department of Nutrition & Food Services and Department of Marketing & Media Affairs in association with LNH doctors, Dr. Noman and Dr. Shahzad provided free medical checkup to more than 100 patients and provided free medical consultation. Miss Sahar, dietitian provided free counseling on dietary requirements, hygiene and other health related issues.
The session was followed by a seminar in which representatives from NIBD, Tabba Heart Institute, LNH, Baqai Hospital and Rehman Eye Centre gave presentations on different medical issues. Chief Guest Dr. Sagheer Ahmed, Minister of Health Government of Sind also visited the camps of different Health Care Institutions and appreciated their efforts.
In the concluding session, the Minster of Health distributed shields to the Health Care Institutes to acknowledge their participation in facilitating ICMAP in Health Awareness Program.
