This is two years full time Degree Program offered to the experienced registered nurses for their further professional development in the field of nursing education, services, management and community areas.

This is four years full time Degree program leading to practice as Registered Nurse (RN) that will enhance the nursing knowledge, skills and professional attitude.

Academic Eligibility for the Admission in BScN Degree program
|
|
To be eligible for admission to the degree of the Bachelor of Nursing, a candidate
must have:
- Completed the Intermediate in Science
(Pre-medical) with minimum of 55% marks
- Successfully passed the entry test
with minimum of 50% marks
- Successful in interview
|
Length of Study
|
|
The curriculum will consist of eight semesters of full-time study, spreading over four academic years.
|
|
Enrollment
|
|
All selected candidates to be enrolled with Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Jamshoro within one month of admission. Enrollment fees will be paid by the candidates.

To complete the curriculum, all candidates will;
- Satisfy the requirements prescribed in Higher Education Commission (HEC) and PNC
- Satisfy the rules and regulation of Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Jamshoro, and Liaquat National College of Nursing, Karachi.

Assessment and Grades
|
- For each course, the student will be graded independently.
- The weightage of each course depends on the credit-units assigned to it. Course prerequisites must be met in order to eligibility of a student for promotion in the next semester.
- In addition, a student must receive a passing grade in all nursing practicals in order to continue with their studies.
- For all the nursing practical courses, a student will receive a 'Pass' or 'Fail' grade. A student must obtain a 'Pass' for each individual nursing practical course in order to continue her / his studies in the following semester.

Progression

Prerequisites must be completed with a passing grade before progression to subsequent courses.
- A passing grade is required for all practical courses.
- A minimum Semester GPA of at least 2.0 or 60% is required to continue in the program.

Degree Awarding
|
|
All students who pass the entire course according to the requirements will receive a degree of BScN in the Convocation of Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Jamshoro.
|
|
Internship
|
|
All candidates will receive the Degree certificate after successful completion of one year internship at Liaquat National Hospital, Karachi. Moreover, upon completion of successful internship, candidates will also be eligible for PNC licensure.
|

Employment Opportunities
|
|
On successful completion of internship, the candidates can work in any reputable institution as a Registered Nurse at hospitals, schools, community settings, industries etc within country, or abroad.
