Liaquat National School of Diagnostic Laboratory Sciences was established in 1991 as a 2-year training program exclusively offered by Liaquat National Hospital. By the year 2006, the program grew into a 4-year postgraduate program offering Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, affiliated with University of Karachi.

LNSDLS prides itself for having highly skilled and qualified faculty members. Our competent and fully trained technologists are employed not only in prestigious health care institutes in Pakistan but also overseas. We are constantly working to uphold international standards of quality.

Our Post Graduate Diploma in Diagnostic Laboratory Sciences (PGDDLS) and existing Bachelor of Studies in Medical Technology with specialization in Clinical Laboratory Sciences (BS-MT-CLS) programs are similar in course structure and periodic organization of subjects to graduate and postgraduate degree and diploma programs offered by Universities and Medical Centres in developed countries.

In previous years, around 90 research and development (R&D) projects have been completed and presented by trainees and technologists of LNSDLS. A considerable number of PGDDLS, BSc MT and BS-MT-CLS technologists of LNSDLS have received appreciation and recognition from Scientific Societies, Research Institutes and Universities through awards and certificates. The participants of MT-CLS program make a healthy impact on quality of services in Pathology with enhanced productivity and efficiency.
