Liaquat National School of Physiotherapy is one of the pioneer institutes of physical therapy education in Pakistan which was established in 1982. It enjoys rich heritage of serving the cause of physiotherapy education with qualified faculty, providing an excellent learning environment for more than four decades. At present, LNSOP offers 5-Year Doctor of Physical Therapy program which is duly affiliated with University of Karachi and is recognized in countries like USA, Australia, UK, and Canada etc.

The motive of the institute is to provide students with high-quality clinical framework, lectures, tutorials, CME programs, seminars, skills lab courses including Basic and Advanced life support, hands-on-trainings, clinical rotations in different wards and OPDs of the hospital. Students also get the opportunity of operation theatre exposure to see live surgeries like Total Knee Replacement and Spinal Fixation. Additionally, students are encouraged to learn from evidence based practices and participate in clinical research under the supervision of experienced faculty.

Eligibilty:
  • 12 Years education completed in current year, Inter Science or A-Level (Pre-Medical) with minimum 60% marks
  • Age 17-22 Years on Admission Passing Year Fresh (The examinations immediately preceding) / as per rules of University of Karachi
  • Written Test (M.C.Qs)
  • Interview
  • Medium of Instruction: English

  • All eligible candidates will be required to appear in the M.C.Q Test.
  • The test fee shall be paid by the candidate
  • Qualified / Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in the Final Interview for provisional selection

We have state-of-the-art teaching facilities, which include.

  • The school also has a Digital Library and Learning Resource Centre.

  • A Bookshop with a wide range of text and reference medical books of all disciplines of medicine within the premises of Liaquat National Medical College is present. The bookshop also carries stationery, gifts and photostat facility for the students.

Research & Skills Development Centre (RSDC)

Liaquat National Hospital has been taking a lead on national level in providing certifiable clinical and resuscitation skills training. RSDC has latest training equipment as per international standards and has a trained certified dedicated team. The centre has state-of-the-art “ISO” certified instrumental rooms, interactive models and simulators. The participants are certified only after successfully passing through their assessments. RSDC runs American Heart Association (AHA) certified Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Clinical Life Support (ACLS) courses too.

Classes usually commence from January every year.

LNSOP offers open merit admission in DPT program so there is no such requirement of domicile.

Yes, original documents are to be submitted at LNSOP administration office.

The fees cannot be paid in installments.

First year or A levels part one results are to be taken as a substitute but it should be 60% minimum.

Fees will be deposited in the form of cash, pay order or demand draft in favor of LNH.

At the moment, there is no financial assistance or scholarship program offered at LNSOP.

Transport is available through contractor.

Students start ward rotation from 3rd year DPT onwards.

At the moment, LNSOP does not offer hostel facility.
