Deputy / Manager Housekeeping (Clinical)

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement housekeeping policies and standards to ensure hospital-wide cleanliness and hygiene, aligning with infection control and safety protocols.
- Plan, supervise, and monitor daily housekeeping and laundry/boiler/ incinerator operations, ensuring adequate manpower allocation, timely completion of cleaning tasks, and optimal utilization of resources.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of patient care areas and support areas to ensure compliance with quality and hygiene benchmarks.
- Oversee hospital waste management processes, ensuring timely, safe, and compliant disposal as per institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement training programs for housekeeping and laundry/boiler/incinerator staff, focusing on cleaning procedures, occupational safety, infection control, and equipment handling.
- Monitor staff performance and discipline, ensuring that all team members meet expected service and behaviour standards.
- Continuously evaluate and improve housekeeping processes, introducing innovations and best practices to enhance service efficiency and quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, infection control, and occupational health and safety.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce effectively.
