Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements the annual nursing education and training plan based on learning needs assessment, patient safety data, incident trends, and organizational priorities.
- Develops and submits personal, unit, and departmental goals and objectives annually, aligned with strategic and quality plans.
- Maintains and monitors staff credentials, certifications, and mandatory training compliance.
- Collaborates with Clinical HODs, Unit Heads, and UHCNs to identify learning needs and develop evidence-based teaching modules.
- Plans and coordinates in-service education, workshops, CNEs, simulations, and specialty training programs, ensuring all administrative arrangements are completed.
- Participates in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety initiatives as a Facilitator or Team Leader, using audit and incident data to guide targeted education.
- Conducts random clinical rounds to evaluate staff performance and compliance, providing structured feedback to Clinical Nursing Heads.
- Organizes and facilitates Journal Clubs, Morbidity & Mortality meetings, Case Presentations, and Clinical Review Forums.
- Maintains accurate education, training, competency, and attendance records to support audits, accreditation surveys, and performance appraisal.
- Supports accreditation readiness, internal audits, and tracer activities related to staff education and competency.
- Mentors and supports nurse Instructor, preceptors, and trainers, promoting continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BScN, preferably Master’s in Nursing with 6-8 years of cl. nursing experience, as a Cl. Instructor NES including 3-4 years as a nursing supervisor in a large tertiary care hospital.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills
- BLS and ACLS certified.
- Valid registration with the Pakistan Nursing Council
- Knowledge of ISO standards, patient safety, and quality improvement
- Adult learning principles and competency-based education
