Key Responsibilities:

• Performs entire dialysis procedure independently.
• Manages the Intra-dialytic complication of all the dialysis patients during procedure.
• Defines the responsibilities of the entire team and deals administrative problems in the dialysis unit.
• Ensures the safe and secure usage of the dialysis machine.
• Ensures the sterilization of operating equipment before use.
• Sends and collects dialysis patient's baseline investigation on monthly basis.
• Prick AV fistula with safety measures.
• Preparation and dispatch dialysis solutions.
• Pre & Post dialysis assessment of the patient including pre-dialysis weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, respiration rate and investigations.
• Connect hemodialysis machine to angio-access in patient’s forearm or catheter site to start blood circulating through dialyzer.
• Explain dialysis procedure and operation of hemodialysis machine and appropriate counseling to the patient before 1st dialysis treatment to allay anxiety.
• Inspect equipment settings, including arterial and venous pressure, conductivity and temperature to ensure conformance to safety standards.
• Should have a knowledge of R.O plant.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Graduation/ High school diploma,
• Preferably 1 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Effective communication skills in English & Urdu (written & verbal) with patients and healthcare team.
• Proficient at use of Microsoft office
