HIMS Officer

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all HIMS sections, ensuring strict adherence to policies, procedures and confidentiality guidelines driving continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Act as a primary liaison with other departments to maintain and manage routine operations.
- Assist in the development, drafting and implementation of HIMS related policies and QMS documentation, ensuring easy accessibility and readiness for management reviews and ISO audits.
- Assist in training sessions for HIMS staff on standard operating procedures (SOPs), new process implementation, and ISO awareness/requirements.
- Conduct periodic audits of health record files and HIMS processes to ensure compliance with both internal quality standards and ISO requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and other relevant documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Biological Sciences / Hospital / Healthcare management / related field with 4 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Working knowledge of ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
