Network Technician
Information Technology
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and deploy network devices including switches, wireless routers, access points, and other related equipment.
- Perform passive network infrastructure activities, including structured cabling, patching, labelling, cable dressing, and rack management.
- Provide network support and troubleshoot connectivity, internet, and network-related issues.
- Install, maintain, and organize network racks, patch panels, fiber termination panels, and related accessories.
- Monitor network performance and report faults, outages, and service issues for timely resolution.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities on network infrastructure as assigned by senior team members.
- Support site surveys, network expansion projects, and infrastructure upgrades as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards during all field and onsite activities.
- Travel to remote locations for network installation, maintenance, support, and project implementation when required.
- Assist in inventory management of network equipment, cables, accessories, and spare parts.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the successful completion of operational and project-related tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Intermediate, DAE or equivalent in Computer Sciences / Information Technology
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in network infrastructure deployment, network support, passive networking, or related IT operations.
- Hands-on experience in network device deployment and installation, including switches, wireless routers, and access points.
- Experience with passive network infrastructure work, including structured cabling (copper/fiber), patching, labelling, and rack management.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
