Infection Preventionist
Nursing
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, identify and respond to infection risks across clinical areas.
- Lead and support infection prevention and control initiatives.
- Conduct surveillance, identify trends and support outbreak investigations.
- Monitor compliance with IPC practices and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on corrective actions.
- Educate and coach healthcare staff on evidence-based IPC practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BScN / Post RN BScN; BS Microbiology, Epidemiology, Public Health, or another relevant Health Sciences qualification.
- 1-2 years relevant IPC experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Healthcare-associated infections, infectious diseases, surveillance and infection control principles.
- Diploma or Certificate in Infection Prevention & Control.
- Valid PNC registration is mandatory.
